Forecast for Tuesday 12/15

Today: Mostly cloudy and turning colder. Patchy drizzle gradually changing to a mix of drizzle and very light snow, with some pockets of freezing drizzle in the higher terrain south of Buffalo. A chance of heavier snow showers and perhaps a few snow squalls after 4PM. Temperatures slowly dropping to near 33 in Buffalo and 31 in the higher terrain.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy brisk and cold with a good chance of snow showers and a few scattered snow squalls. Activity becoming focused mainly north and east of Buffalo during the late night hours. An inch or two of accumulation in most spots, but locally up to 4" where snow squalls persist. Lows ranging from 25 in Buffalo to 21 in the higher terrain.

Tomorrow: Partly to mostly cloudy and cold with a chance of snow showers, mainly across the higher terrain south of Buffalo. Temperatures holding steady in the mid 20s in Buffalo and the lower 20s across the higher terrain.

Tomorrow Night: Mostly cloudy and cold with a chance of snow showers. Heavier lake effect snow developing across northern Chautauqua, northern Cattaraugus, and southern Erie Counties with several inches of accumulation possible. Lows ranging from 23 in Buffalo to 19 in the higher terrain.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy and cold with a good chance of snow showers and localized areas of heavier lake effect snow. Highs ranging from 19 in Batavia, to 22 in Buffalo, to the mid 20s near the Chautauqua County shoreline.

Friday: Partly to mostly sunny and cold. High near 22. Low near 17.

Saturday: Partly to mostly cloudy and cold. High near 23. Low near 17.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers. High near 24. Low near 19.
