Today: Mostly cloudy brisk and chilly with a chance of morning snow showers in the higher terrain south of Buffalo. Becoming partly to mostly sunny late in the day. High near 42.

Tonight: Mostly clear and cold. Low near 32 in Buffalo, but dipping well into the 20s in Southern Tier valleys.

Tomorrow: Early morning sunshine yielding to mostly cloudy skies by midday. Becoming breezy with a chance of rain showers late in the day or at night. Not as chilly with a high near 47.

Monday: Mostly cloudy and colder with a chance of rain and snow showers. Precipitation will be mostly snow across the higher terrain south of Buffalo. Localized bands of heavier lake effect snow developing at night. High near 40 in Buffalo...mid 30s in the higher terrain.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy and cold with a chance of snow showers and areas of lake effect snow well south of Buffalo, especially during the morning. High near 37. Low near 33.

Wednesday: Partly to mostly sunny. Not as cold. High near 43. Low near 28.

Thursday: Cloudy with rain or snow likely. Precipitation may be heavy. Temperatures steady in the 30s to near 40.
