Forecast for Monday 11/30

Today: Rain tapering to drizzle/mist then ending completely by midday. Remaining overcast brisk and cold with temperatures holding steady near 40 in Buffalo and in the mid 30s across the higher terrain.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy and cold but primarily dry from Buffalo northward. Bands of lake effect snow developing south of Buffalo...possibly mixed with rain along the immediate lakeshore. Around an inch of accumulation across the higher terrain with locally 2-3" along the Chautauqua Ridge. Little to no accumulation along the lakeshore. Lows ranging from 34 in Buffalo to 31 in the higher terrain.

Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy brisk and cold with lake effect rain/snow lifting north into Buffalo during the morning. Little to no accumulation expected in the city and near the lakeshore but up to an inch of additional accumulation in the higher terrain to the south. High near 40 in Buffalo...mid 30s in the higher terrain.

Wednesday: Early morning sunshine yielding to mostly cloudy skies by midday. A soaking rain developing during the evening and continuing through the night. Becoming windy and much milder. High near 50. Low near 32.

Thursday: Cloudy and turning colder with rain changing to snow. A period of mixed precip/ice possible during the changeover, especially in the higher terrain. Strong winds and localized lake snows developing at night. High near 35. Low near 30.

Friday: Mostly cloudy windy and cold with a chance of snow showers and localized lake snows. High near 33. Low near 29.

Saturday: A chance of snow showers and localized lake snows in the morning, otherwise mostly cloudy and cold. High near 33. Low near 28.
